Planning to do some serious trail riding? Consider enrolling your horse in our Extreme Trail
Training program! This program will prepare your horse for extreme trail riding, if you need a
partner you can count on in a tough spot... This is how you get that to happen!!! Horses will be
given a solid foundation in the first 60 days of the program which will be built on for the remaining
time. They will be placed in extreme situations, ridden bareback, swim through ponds, up hills that
don't appear climbable, they will be trailered to other extreme locations to ride regularly as well.
They will practice at home on our ranch doing everything from dragging logs, swinging a rope,
being ponied, as well as ponying others, they will be placed in spooky situations, gunfire, see deer,
quail, pheasant, dogs, goats, donkeys etc... All working together to build an excellent trail horse,
ready for anything you may want to do. This program will produce a horse that you can enjoy for
many years.
This will require a commitment to excellence however, creating a horse like this takes time... We will
start in the roundpen... advancing to open country riding as quickly as possible... spending 60-90
days on foundation training and conditioning, then moving on to advanced maneuvers, extreme
obstacles and trails... Completing the program in 6-9 months.
Horses that complete at least a 60 day program will be eligible for continued maintenance
conditioning at our ranch as well. This is an opportunity to keep your horse in great riding and
training condition right up until you are ready to use your horse, no more fear of losing training
ground in between your busy schedule. Pasture board is included as well as hay and feed,
maintenance training (2 rides per week), and hoof trimming on an 8 week schedule with Ben Millis.
Making a total of $400 per month to keep your horse in top riding condition!
